Boardwalk Empire Wedding Styled Shoot

Excuse me while I drool over all the details of this stunning loft wedding styled shoot captured by Edward Lai Photography. And the talent of A Day to Remember Weddings & Events  together with all the fabulous vendors who made this styled shoot a gorgeous one. I love the glamorous, modern, and sexy elements of this styled shoot. It is simply amazing! If you are a fan of the show, Boardwalk Empire, then you will be not want to miss this one!

From Edward Lai Photography

For this photoshoot we were immediately inspired by the modern & sexy feel of The Loft. Using a modern day Boardwalk Empire theme, we want to make use of the brick, wood & leather elements of the room and furnishings.

Decor & Concept from A Day to Remember Weddings & Events: We aligned the long wooden table with a gold sequenced table runner and used a 3-foot wide set of moose antlers as the centerpiece which was adorned with heavy greens with marsala and peach toned florals. We added tall gold candle holders, gold charger plates, peach napkins & beaded gold napkin holders. The cracked style gold wine glasses brought a more modern & stylish element to the table decor. Cafe lights were hung over the white brick to help us create a cozy atmosphere, which also added a soft element to an otherwise masculine look.We also created a decorative display to feature a large Cigar bar. We used mirrors, lanterns & proper placement of the cigars and accessories that were provided by City Cigar. Individual cigars were also used on the table settings as favours and place cards for each guest.

Vintage Tea Garden Wedding Styled Shoot

I love myself a Vintage wedding. Then there is a beautiful styled shoot like this one which is set in a garden and has all the lovely vintage details and then this vintage loving blogger is happy. I love every bit of of this vintage garden wedding. I feel like I have stepped back in time where all these gorgeous details come from.  Bee Photography, LLC and the team of fabulous vendors created an amazing setting that is perfect for that bride who loves vintage romance with a touch of elegance. Get ready to be inspired! Which detail is your favorite? Share in the comments below.

From Bee Photography, LLC

The theme of this shoot was “Vintage Tea Garden.” I teamed up with Yasmen Katrina Events and we decided to put our heads together and make something MAGICAL. So  we choose it because we wanted to do something which reflected the old rustic vintage European countryside, but at the same time a bit different, and sparkly. Yasmen and I wanted to do the shoot outdoors, and add greenery when we saw The Bramble Tree Estates we knew it would be the perfect venue. Our inspiration was a mix of personal things; Yasmen’s favorite color: blush, and her childhood memories in the English countryside, and also we both love Marie Antoinette European feel. We would have to say we fell in love with chandelier from Vintage Chic Affairs, the chandelier florals from Arrangements, oh did we mention the fabulous settee? The dress was also one of our favorite, because it added just enough sparkle to the theme. The inspiration for the shoot centered around merging the old vintage theme with a more modern sparkle which gave the ability to merge two different feels and era’s into one beautiful, soft yet sparkly day. I chose some rustic pieces, such as the chandelier and the settee, while adding in soft, sweet pieces like the sweetheart chairs and soft blue linen. Yasmen added the glamorous gold flatware to pop on the soft vintage mismatched china to keep in mind the contrast between vintage and sparkly. We loved this shoot for many reasons: the blush and white flowers among all the greenery, both in the centerpiece and the chandelier, the look of the vintage tablescape, with the pop of glamorous gold on blue linen, and the way we were able to use an open green field and turn it into a romantic wedding space.

Snow White Bridal Styled Shoot

It is days like today where I really can not believe what an incredible job I have. As a wedding blogger, I have the chance to share some amazing talent and view some gorgeous details along the way. Today’s post is no exception to the rule of brilliant talent and prettiness. And today is extra special . My two favorite things have come together for a beautifully styled shoot. Yep, Disney and weddings.  Not just Disney, but  more specifically, a  Disney Princess.  This lovely bridal styled shoot has all the details I love in a Disney inspired session.  The beautiful bride as Snow White, the iconic apple from the Evil Witch, the exquisite table with pops of red, and a breathtaking setting fit perfectly for this stunning princess.  I have to talk about the fabulous bridal gown for a second. Swoon indeed! The gold accents floating on the dress, and the style is absolutely elegant. Perfect for a princess! I can go on and on about this fantastic Snow White session, but it will take up the whole page, and I think its best to judge for yourself.  If you are as big of a Disney fan as I am, then you will see why I am so obsessed over this Disney princess bridal styled shoot from the very talented Endless Exposures Photography who has obviously taken over my Disney & wedding loving heart.

A bit about the styled shoot from Endless Exposures Photography

I have been wanting to put together a styled shoot for awhile now and recently collaborated a dark Snow White inspired bridal shoot. Casey Wilburn modeled for me in a Terani Couture ball gown that I had found in a thrift shop. Casey’s look struck out to me and I knew she would fit the roll perfectly. She did her own hair and makeup as I was on a budget for the shoot, so everything that I could do within my team was going to save me money. I love the gold and red dark colors in season this year so I wanted to incoporate that as well.
I put together props from Hobby Lobby, Michaels, antique and thrift shops, and things I had collected around the house. I wanted it to have a dark and filmy look. I shot hybrid with some in film and some in digital. For the things that I could not find in the color that I wanted, I spray painted gold. I made the dummy cake with styrofoam and fondant, and used gold food coloring to spray paint the top of the cake. I found the cake topper apple at the store for 50% off to add a finishing touch! It was fate when I passed by it!
We shot in a wooded area where I like to jog at. There’s a trail that I discovered years ago and I love it as my hidden gem location spot. I knew it would be perfect for the dark look that I was going for.

Eco-Chic Fall Inspired Wedding Styled Shoot

Mondays can be a drag and super hard to be excited about. But when we have something lovely to brighten up your day, starting your week just became a bit more easier. We love the fall season with its beautiful colors,  brisk cold weather, and all the fall smells in the air. But at BHL headquarters in Southern California we rarely get to experience a true fall season and all the pretty details it brings. That is why today we are in love with this fall inspired styled shoot from  ‘Cause We Can Events.  Every single detail of this styled shoot is absolutely  amazing. From the stunning bridal bouquet, the elegant and chic tabletop, and the gorgeous bridal gown; it all wraps up into perfect fall wedding day.  If this was not inspiring enough, it is all eco-friendly too. Yep, you can give mother nature some love and compassion while still keeping with a fabulous design. So, if you are planning a fall wedding and you want to go green, then this can be your first stop for ideas and inspiration. It has inspired us so much that we kind of want to crawl through the computer and take a seat at the charming table and sip on some apple cider.  Enjoy fall and Happy Monday!

Inspiration of the Styled Shoot from Cause We Can Events…

I wanted to show brides that having an eco-friendly wedding doesn’t mean it has to look frumpy! For this Eco-Chic Wedding we had dried flowers instead of fresh in order to conserve water, candles made out of recycled wine bottles and a dress that was sustainably made!

NYC Red Vintage Inspired Styled Shoot

I think Red just became my new favorite color. And it is all due to the gorgeous red details that are featured in this beautiful styled shoot from Sasha Chou Photography. When you have stunning florals, an exquisite gown,  and a killer New York City backdrop, then it is all over. All over with a swoon at every single amazing detail.  It is lovely inspiration like this, that makes me love my job more and more each and every day. I mean, come on, how breathtaking is the bride and groom in such a dreamy setting?  I kind of want to be transported to the city and get all dolled up with the pretty dress, the romantic flower crown, and surrounded by all the elegant details.  So, without further adieu,  lets dive into this perfectly made red vintage inspired styled shoot and enjoy a bit of wedding inspiration.

Inspiration from Sasha Chou Photography

We decided to do the shoot in the city’s East River Park, with the Williamsburg Bridge and the morning sunrise as our backdrop.

Our shoot featured many elements that most brides needing an inspirational boost can draw from. For example, the vintage dress being modeled in the shoot can appeal to a bride considering whether an heirloom dress can be made anew again.

Another idea that can be used for an inspirational feature is the beautiful floral crown adorned on our bride’s head. Budget and DIY brides are always looking for affordable alternatives to the pricey cathedral/double veils; so our floral crown can come to the rescue. This was created using a vibrant and bold red rose and balanced by ranunculus and brides protea intertwined amongst a vine of jasmine.

A special element for this shoot is the red shawl, which coincidentally ties in with the red of the bride’s bouquet, corsage and floral crown. It can add a special something to bride’s looking to incorporate the statement color into their wedding; even if it so happens to be red.

Bohemian Elopement Styled Shoot

If there is something bridal that I absolutely love, it is a bohemian bride. Yes, the lace dress, the flower crown, the crazy wild and pretty flowers; it all makes totally head over heels in love. But when you have a gorgeous bohemian bride and her groom in the most quaint and intimate setting, then my heart goes pitter patter. That is why today I have fallen in love with a fabulous team of gals who have put together the most romantic styled shoot. A styled shoot all about a beachside elopement. No frills, or any bells or whistles, just simply a bride and groom together with two friends sharing a wonderful moment. The simpleness of this shoot is what I am loving. I am not into the glam and gltiz all the time, (do not get me wrong, I do like a bit of bling time to time), but when you have something as beautiful and sweet as this elopement, none of that glamour is needed.  As the Beatles say, “All you need is love”, and that is exactly what I see in this shoot. From the moment the first image came across my computer screen, I knew I was going to fall for this one. Yep, fallen pretty hard. Thank you to Loveridge Photography, The Wild Poppy, along with Twiggs Floral Design and other fantastic vendors for inspiring all the bohemian loving brides out there. Including me!

From Loveridge Photography

Taylor, from A Wild Poppy, and I wanted to create a romantic elopement with a group of small friends. We both love intimate parties where there is a lot of attention to detail and feel like we will start seeing this more and more with elopements. Her style of minimal bohemian in her store and life gave us the perfect theme and the foggy beach of Montana de Oro was the perfect setting.
