NYC Red Vintage Inspired Styled Shoot

I think Red just became my new favorite color. And it is all due to the gorgeous red details that are featured in this beautiful styled shoot from Sasha Chou Photography. When you have stunning florals, an exquisite gown,  and a killer New York City backdrop, then it is all over. All over with a swoon at every single amazing detail.  It is lovely inspiration like this, that makes me love my job more and more each and every day. I mean, come on, how breathtaking is the bride and groom in such a dreamy setting?  I kind of want to be transported to the city and get all dolled up with the pretty dress, the romantic flower crown, and surrounded by all the elegant details.  So, without further adieu,  lets dive into this perfectly made red vintage inspired styled shoot and enjoy a bit of wedding inspiration.

Inspiration from Sasha Chou Photography…

 We decided to do the shoot in the city’s East River Park, with the Williamsburg Bridge and the morning sunrise as our backdrop.

Our shoot featured many elements that most brides needing an inspirational boost can draw from. For example, the vintage dress being modeled in the shoot can appeal to a bride considering whether an heirloom dress can be made anew again.

Another idea that can be used for an inspirational feature is the beautiful floral crown adorned on our bride’s head. Budget and DIY brides are always looking for affordable alternatives to the pricey cathedral/double veils; so our floral crown can come to the rescue. This was created using a vibrant and bold red rose and balanced by ranunculus and brides protea intertwined amongst a vine of jasmine.

A special element for this shoot is the red shawl, which coincidentally ties in with the red of the bride’s bouquet, corsage and floral crown. It can add a special something to bride’s looking to incorporate the statement color into their wedding; even if it so happens to be red.

Coachella Inspired Bridal Accessories by Two’s Company

Coachella may be over, but we are still obsessing over it here at BHL headquarters.  We are always in search of the latest thing in all things wedding, and that is why we can not get enough of some of the fabulous trends at Coachella.  Today we are “oohing” and “ahhing” over some breathtaking bridal things, which has us pretty happy. Thank you to the fabulous owners of Two’s Company Alexandra Boulger and Emily Kouri for sharing some gorgeous Coachella inspired bridal accessories!  If you love Coachella, then you will absolutely fall in love with these lovely pieces. A Recap of the Bridal Showcase by Wedding Salon

Wedding Wednesday is about to get gorgeous and super pretty! The Wedding Salon recently had their annual bridal showcase at the SOFITEL Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, California with over 600 guests. What did these 600 guests enjoy that evening? Fabulous and amazing wedding trends, which we LOVE of course. It was a lovely event, and today we are excited that we get to share some of the fantastic features from the event. They’re the perfect accent to a bride and her wedding day.  Complimenting all the bridal details in the most gorgeous of ways. Headpieces
Whether it’s a simple crystal pin, a flower or a full on headpiece, nothing compliments a bride’s freshly done make-up than some flattering adornment in her hair. They did it in the 1920’s and they’re continuing to do it today.  This trend won’t go away for a while.

The last couple of years we’ve seen an ongoing trend of burlap rustic/vintage weddings.  Now we’re starting to see that trend in bridal accessories too! Burlap isn’t just for table runners and gift wrapping anymore!

Black Accessories
From the bride to her bridesmaids, women are getting more bold by experimenting with color. We’ve seen a surge of weddings where brides have worn black sashes. Some brides love the black and white look but may not be bold enough to wear it. Instead, they put it on their bridesmaids! For this particular wedding, we had the MOH in our Nadya Belt and the bridesmaids wore a customized belt that we did just for them. It was so popular that we named it after one of the bridesmaids! It’s called the Tina Belt.
