Top Five Bridal Accessory Trends 2013

Can we please talk about bridal accessories for a minute?  And why I am so obsessed with them? They’re the perfect accent to a bride and her wedding day.  Complimenting all the bridal details in the most gorgeous of ways. We are so lucky today,  because we have the lovely work of owner,  Maram at Something Treasured who’s sharing the top five hottest bridal accessory trends. I am in love with all the amazing and pretty details for each one of these hot trends. Which trend do you love the most? Share with us!

Headpieces
Whether it’s a simple crystal pin, a flower or a full on headpiece, nothing compliments a bride’s freshly done make-up than some flattering adornment in her hair. They did it in the 1920’s and they’re continuing to do it today.  This trend won’t go away for a while.

Burlap Belts
The last couple of years we’ve seen an ongoing trend of burlap rustic/vintage weddings.  Now we’re starting to see that trend in bridal accessories too! Burlap isn’t just for table runners and gift wrapping anymore!

Cake Accessories
Accessories don’t just sass up your look – they sass up your event as well! We found that brides are really enjoying matching their bridal look to their cake.  The crystals look great in photos and in person.

Floral Belts
Many brides will always want to keep their look classic, so having flowers on your belt keeps the tradition of the classic bride yet it adds a fun and flirty look to it all.  There was such a demand for flowers that we decided to create our Build Your Own Belt line! Each bride has the opportunity to pick the belt, the types of flowers and the adornment so that it’s customized specifically FOR her BY her.

Black Accessories
From the bride to her bridesmaids, women are getting more bold by experimenting with color. We’ve seen a surge of weddings where brides have worn black sashes. Some brides love the black and white look but may not be bold enough to wear it. Instead, they put it on their bridesmaids! For this particular wedding, we had the MOH in our Nadya Belt and the bridesmaids wore a customized belt that we did just for them. It was so popular that we named it after one of the bridesmaids! It’s called the Tina Belt.
