North Carolina Bed and Breakfast Wedding

My heart is so full of love right now. It is all due to this super sweet wedding set at an adorable Bed and Breakfast in North Carolina. I am not going to lie, but I kind of want to push myself through the computer and jump right into this cute wedding. When a love that is so obvious is shining from each and every image, it is hard not to want to be part of such a lovely moment.  Make sure you have cleared your schedule for the morning, as you will want to view the images  more than once. This wedding is extra special as the photographer who was on hand, is a close friend of the couple. Brandy Angel Photography did a fantastic job in capturing the day. Enjoy the photos!

From  Brandy Angel Photography

“True love is eternal, infinite, and always like itself. It is equal and pure, without violent demonstrations: it is seen with white hairs and is always young in the heart.” ~Honore de BalzacIt’s not every day you get to capture images that represents something so beautiful and so important. I could not be happier or prouder of these two men that I am lucky enough to call my friends. Their love is truer than most and their fight to spend heir lives together is brave and inspiring. I wish them a lifetime of love, laughter and light. Here is their love story in their own words.??It all begin in July 2012, a simple hello from Joseph to Andrew on a dating website. After a few weeks of back and forth emails and eventually text messages, we decided to meet in person for a casual dinner. That dinner was supposed to happen on the first Saturday night in August, however, Andrew cancelled. Joseph thought for sure he was just getting blown off, a case of cold feet for Andrew. You see we both were just coming out of bad relationships, Andrew a little over three months and Joseph around six months. Yet to Joseph’s most pleasant surprise, Andrew text him an apology and explanation, and Joseph eagerly gave him a second chance. Our first time meeting happened the upcoming Tuesday night at Clocked in Downtown Athens, GA. It truly was love at first site. We were inseparable.Almost immediately we became monogamous, totally committed to one another, rarely spending a night apart. We share many of the same interests and ideals. We were and still are totally comfortable with one another. Our birthdays are one day apart, Andrew May 14 and Joseph May 15, however, Joseph is twelve years Andrew’s senior. The age difference does not matter to either one of us. All that we know is that we love each other and at the time wanted our families to meet the most amazing person we had ever met. From meeting the parents for the first time, to so many other firsts; the first time crying in front of one another, our first UGA football game together, the first Christmas, the first birthday celebration, and Andrew’s college graduation from UGA; our love grew stronger and deeper. We both knew that we were each other’s one.Joseph knew he had to pop the question, and on May 19, 2014 he did just that. He suggested to Andrew that we make a day of shopping and fun in Atlanta, GA, which included a ride on the SkyView Ferris Wheel. However, to keep Andrew from becoming suspicious, Joseph suggested a little shopping at Ikea then over to SkyView. We both had already talked several times about taking a ride on SkyView. That was it, that was the perfect place to propose to Andrew, at the very top of SkyView while overlooking the Atlanta skyline. After the shopping trip to Ikea, we headed on over to SkyView. Anxious and nervous did not even compare to how Joseph felt. He was keeping the ring in the coin pocket of his jeans, constantly checking to make sure it was still there. Upon arrival at SkyView, the two were asked to empty their pockets and they were scanned with a metal detector for safety precautions. Joseph was freaking out, sweating bullets, how in the world was he going to remove the engagement ring from his pocket without Andrew seeing it. To this day, he cannot figure out how he did it, but he removed the ring and put it back in his pocket without Andrew noticing. We boarded the ferris wheel and slowly rode to the top. As we approached the top, Joseph pulled Andrew closer to him. There was no getting down on one knee, that pod was swaying and uneasy feeling. With the little old couple in the pod facing us looking on, Joseph asked Andrew to be his forever. With a yes and a kiss to seal the proposal, there was no looking back.

On May 30, 2015, Andrew and Joseph made it official. It was a gorgeous sunny day, perfect for a garden wedding with a beautiful Queen Anne Victorian bed and breakfast as our backdrop. With our family and closest friends, we married in Asheville, NC, at A Bed of Roses Bed and Breakfast. Small and simple, yet intimate, it was exactly what we wanted. Andrew and Joseph dressed in the same outfit of light gray suit pants and matching vests with a white dress shirt and light dusty pink tie. A boutonniere added just the right touch for both. A soft pink rose set against a delicate thistle. Our officiant, Jerry Conner, delivered beautiful vows of love and helped us “tie the knot” with the exchange of rings and hand fasting.Memories have been made and many more will be created. But we both hold fast to our love for one another, Me + You, You + Me, Always.

Sneak Peek of TLC’s “Something Borrowed, Something New” Season 3 Episode 6

A gorgeous week all wrapped up and ready to kick off the weekend. We love weekends, and we love them even more when there is a brand new episode of TLC’s SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW.  Yes, we are always excited to see anything that has to do with brides and their wedding day. Oh, and add in some shopping in there, then we have a perfect weekend planned. Will you be watching tonight? Take a look at what tonight’s episode is all about, and you may be hooked!

If you are a SBSN (SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW) newbie, then let us tell you a little bit about this amazing show. This show follows a bride’s journey to find the perfect wedding dress for her big day. However there is a twist!  The bride will have to choose a new designer bridal gown, or a fashionably redesigned family heirloom. Who will help the bride find something new and something borrowed for her special day? Each episode is hosted by designer Kelly Nishimoto and stylist Sam Saboura, who will work with the bride to help choose between two dress options. Kelly will turn a special, previously worn gown into a gown which is for the time, venue, and personality of the bride. The bride will also have a chance to work with Sam in shopping at a bridal salon to find a brand new stylish dress. What happens next? The bride will have to make a very important decision and choose between a one-of-a kind dress and a newly fashionable piece. Will the bride choose her mother’s wedding gown, or find something new and unique to her? Which one will the bride choose?

Tonight’s episode features bride-to-be, Paloma who comes from a  big traditional Italian family. Her dream wedding is full of glam and back to the 1950s. However her mom’s 1980s bridal gown is not really in the era she is wanting. Will it be Sam or Kelly who succeeds in finding the timeless dress for this sparkling bride? Which gown will the bride walk down the aisle in? Something new, or her mom’s redesigned dress? You will have to tune in tonight and find out!

San Diego California Estate Wedding

Whimsical, romantic, and beautiful, are the three words that we chose to describe this estate wedding. Tucked away within the lush forests and gorgeous gardens in San Diego, California, the couple said “I do”, with their closest friends and family. Then throw in some pretty artistic and lovely details created by the bride herself, then this wedding is worth chatting about. We love it when brides add their personal touch to make their wedding day even more magical. But what is distracting us at the moment is the seriously gorgeous floral swing which has our wedding loving hearts full of love. Take a look at what JEFF+AMBER had a chance to capture at this stunning wedding.

From JEFF+AMBER

Brooke and Michael have such a unique bond between their families and you could see and feel the love the whole entire day through.   Brooke did all their details and artwork herself as she comes from an amazingly talented family of artists.

Every detail was so unique, the love and heartfelt words that came out of every speech was so inspiring!  It felt as if everyone that attended their wedding day knew they where special to even be a part of this group!

There is a true sense of gratitude when you get to witness love as strong as these two have!  Dad’s tears and speech about turning Michael away when he first asked to propose because he knew Michael wasn’t fully the person he was able to be left the whole crowd breathless.  Then to hear that Michael went off to become a Doctor to further win the hand and blessing of her father was something out of a love story.

When you browse through our favorites it’s important for you to know these details as it builds their special story so much more!  Not only are they the cutest, sweetest and most genuine people we’ve had the privilege to get to know and capture, they are true friends and good people.

It’s a fleeting moment that only lasts for a few hours and then after the party, there is little to cherish but the pictures and the video. And while your dress and accessories may last a lifetime, you may have spent a fortune on it, only to be able to wear it for a few hours of your life. That is where Style The Aisle & Happily Ever Borrowed come in to save the day. Imagine your bridesmaid’s joy when you tell them they can rent their dress and accessories instead of spending a fortune on an item they’ll never wear again! Sneak Peek of TLC’s “Something Borrowed, Something New” Season 3 Premiere

I have been dying about today’s feature. It is a real special one.  It has been so hard to keep this one from all of you, but today I can finally share and so excited! One of our favorite Bride Day TLC shows are back for season 3, and with a very special premiere episode.  TLC’s SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW is back with their third season, and it looks like its going to be a great one! Before getting into tonight’s sneak peek episode, lets tell you a bit about the show.

Tonight’s first episode features a bride who shocks Sam so much, he is actually speechless. The bride is his co-host, Kelly Nishimoto! Yep, and she has come with her sister-in-law to talk to Sam about her wedding dress dream. Since Kelly will be too busy with wedding plans, she has brought in star of TLC’s BRIDE BY DESIGN Heidi Elnora, who steps in to transform Kelly’s “something borrowed” dress into a newly imagined piece of bridal couture, while Sam takes Kelly dress shopping for the first time. So now Kelly has choose between the newly designed bridal gown, or a brand new dress Sam helps her find. So which one will she end up wearing for her LA wedding? You will have to tune in tonight and find out! We are so excited we are counting down the hours.

From Love in Photographs

This was a beautiful wedding where two cultures came together, where friends and family travelled from all over the world to celebrate Marian & Andrew’s wedding in Cancun, Mexico.

These two met while working for the same company in different countries; Marian in Mexico and Andrew in the U.S. – for many months they spent a lot of time corresponding to each other via the internet not knowing (nor having any interest in what the other person looked like). Two years ago, they finally met for the first time at a work event and immediately fell for each other. After some time dating far apart and not knowing when they can finally be together in one place – they were determined to make it work and a year later when Andrew proposed, Marian also found a wonderful job here in the U.S. With so much gratitude and love – they are now enjoying their days together with their sweet pup Millie and looking forward to this new chapter in their lives!

Both Andrew & Marian are incredibly intelligent & hardworking yet free spirited, curious and excited about the possibilities and adventures in life. They decided to have their wedding in Mexico where their families could embrace the beauty of Mexico and soak up the sun for a handful of days.

The ceremony took place in an amazing chapel with stunning views of the sea followed by a rooftop terrace reception where their families shared so much laughter & joy, singing and dancing the night away!
