We love weekends, and we love them even more when there is a brand new episode of TLC’s SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW.  Yes, we are always excited to see anything that has to do with brides and their wedding day. Oh, and add in some shopping in there, then we have a perfect weekend planned. Will you be watching tonight? Take a look at what tonight’s episode is all about, and you may be hooked!

Who will help the bride find something new and something borrowed for her special day? Each episode is hosted by designer Kelly Nishimoto and stylist Sam Saboura, who will work with the bride to help choose between two dress options. Kelly will turn a special, previously worn gown into a gown which is for the time, venue, and personality of the bride. The bride will also have a chance to work with Sam in shopping at a bridal salon to find a brand new stylish dress. What happens next? The bride will have to make a very important decision and choose between a one-of-a kind dress and a newly fashionable piece. Will the bride choose her mother’s wedding gown, or find something new and unique to her? Which one will the bride choose?

Tonight’s episode features bride-to-be, Paloma who comes from a  big traditional Italian family. Her dream wedding is full of glam and back to the 1950s. However her mom’s 1980s bridal gown is not really in the era she is wanting. Will it be Sam or Kelly who succeeds in finding the timeless dress for this sparkling bride? Which gown will the bride walk down the aisle in? Something new, or her mom’s redesigned dress? You will have to tune in tonight and find out!

Tonight’s episode features bride-to-be, Amber Joi who has worn a few pagent gowns in the past, but never a wedding gown.  She is looking for a dress that will compliment her regal venue and easy to dance in all night.   Amber is not sure that her mom’s dress (which is handmade by her husband’s grandmother), has all the glam she is looking for. Will Sam find her the perfect dress for her wedding day, or will Kelly wow her with a remake of mom’s bridal dress? What gown will Amber walk down the aisle in? She is not used to wearing dresses, but is looking for a dress which will compliment her winter wonderland them.  She is a tough person to convince in doing anything bridal. Sam will have to find a way to make Crystal a bridal believer, while Kelly is going to transform Grandma’s dress into something fit for a snow queen. Will she walk down the aisle in something borrowed, or say ” I do” in something new?

I have been dying about today’s feature. It is a real special one.  It has been so hard to keep this one from all of you, but today I can finally share and so excited! One of our favorite Bride Day TLC shows are back for season 3, and with a very special premiere episode.  TLC’s SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW is back with their third season, and it looks like its going to be a great one! Before getting into tonight’s sneak peek episode, lets tell you a bit about the show.

Yep, and she has come with her sister-in-law to talk to Sam about her wedding dress dream. Since Kelly will be too busy with wedding plans, she has brought in star of TLC’s BRIDE BY DESIGN Heidi Elnora, who steps in to transform Kelly’s “something borrowed” dress into a newly imagined piece of bridal couture, while Sam takes Kelly dress shopping for the first time. So now Kelly has choose between the newly designed bridal gown, or a brand new dress Sam helps her find. So which one will she end up wearing for her LA wedding? You will have to tune in tonight and find out! We are so excited we are counting down the hours.

The second episode features bride, Katie who is having a Valentine’s Day wedding.  Her mom’s dress? She does love the idea of wearing it, but it is missing some elements that she is looking to compliment her Valentine’s Day wedding. Tune in to find out what Sam finds on a limited budget! Also Kelly is determined to create the perfect gown for Katie’s wedding. Which one will she walk down the aisle in?

Friday is here and we are so excited. The second episode features Doctor Erika, a bride who has not tried on any wedding gowns as of yet. She also does not express her emotions when making decisions.  So her mom thinks that her daughter can wear her 1970’s gown and make her decision easy. However, a surprise of emotions come up for Erika, and she will have to choose between the new gown that Sam finds, and the gown that Kelly recreates for her.  Will she be able to choose?   You will have to watch tonight to find out. Happy Friday lovelies! Before you head off to enjoy a beautiful weekend, we’ve got some pretty amazing news to share with you. As you know by now, we are kind of obsessed with TLC’s wedding TV shows.  Whether it is about four different brides and their weddings, or choosing the perfect wedding gown, we L-O-V-E these shows! Guess what show is back for another fabulous season? We will give you a hint: a very talented fashion designer and a amazing bridal stylist come together to find the perfect gown for a bride.   Our Fridays are going to be so amazing with the return of  TLC’s SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW. We are so excited that we are throwing ourselves a little “hurray” party over here. Confetti and all. Fridays are looking super gorgeous. Are you as excited as we are?

Season two is kicking off with two back to back episodes! Tonight’s first episode features a New Jersey bride-to-be, Nikki, who is planning a huge Italian wedding with a winter wonderland theme. She is looking for a dress that is decorated with crystals and is skin-tight to flaunt her assets. However, Nikki’s mom is leaning towards her own 80’s style gown as the gown her daughter walks down the aisle in. What dress will Nikki choose? Will it be a dress that Sam finds for her, or one that Kelly redesigns?

The second episode features bride Sarah who is totally Daddy’s little girl and loves to wear her grandmother’s wedding gown. The problem? It is a 1942 bridal gown that is very delicate and falling apart.  Can Kelly save the day and the vintage gown? Or will Sam find a gown that Sarah will fall in love with?  You will have to watch tonight to find out. You won’t want to miss!

Expressionary Events Features Bridal Hot List in a Video Interview

I have some exciting news that I can not wait to share with all of you on this lovely Monday morning. It is so fabulous, that you better sit down for this one. So grab your morning coffee, get comfy, and ready for some pretty amazing information.  Bridal Hot List had their first interview! I had the pleasure to be interviewed by the very talented Wedding Planner and Designer, Carmen Fuentes of Expressionary Events for Expression Spotlight. What an exciting moment for BHL. As chief editor of Bridal Hot List, I shared who we are, what we do, and what type of wedding details we feature on the blog.  I shared how we are not your typical wedding blog, and that we are THE resource for today’s bride, providing the hottest trends and tips. What got my heart bursting with joy was talking about the two (now three) TLC television shows we cover: TLC’s “Four Weddings” and “Something Borrowed, Something New” (added to the list is “I Found the Gown”). What was really great is when I shared some of the pretty exciting moments I have had at BHL. For example,  I had the wonderful opporunity in meeting top stylist, Sam Saboura, and fashion designer Kelly Nishimoto from ” Something Borrowed, Something New”. THAT was amazing because they provided me with some incredible wedding tips and trends. An interesting fact that I spoke of was that not all our readers are brides…we actually have grooms who are really intrigued by the tips and trends we provide. That is something that has motivated us to write more for the grooms. I mean, they are the other piece to the lovely duo of a wedding couple.

What really fills my heart with joy is the chance to share what I truly love and have a passion for. I love my job! How many people can say that? There are so many reasons and to name a few…I am constantly immersed in beautiful weddings, gorgeous inspirations, all the crazy talented people, and making some amazing connections with all of you. The brides and grooms, and wedding junkies are driving this wedding blog which I am so proud of.
