TLC’s Four Weddings Winning Bride: Season Premiere

Good morning weekenders! It is nice to have TLC’s “Four Weddings” back on our weekends, isn’t it? I think so. It totally makes me want to jump out of bed and talk about the winner from the season premiere. Yep, I am pretty excited. The winning bride from Thursday’s episode is Chantall! Congrats to this bride and all her gorgeous planning. Her Southern vintage wedding scored her a total of 90 points out of 120 points. Here is the breakdown.

Venue: 23 points
Dress:  22 points
Experience: 23 points
Food: 22 points

TLC

The other three brides really liked the venue the best, as she scored the highest in this category. The venue was at an old Plantation. The ceremony took place under the oldest tree on the property. The venue really sets the scene for the wedding, and this venue totally complimented Chantall’s vintage elegant theme. All the gorgeous details of the old world charm was evident in this venue. The perfect place for this bride and her groom. Nice choice Chantall! I really loved this venue as well. The barn where the reception took place was so rustic and all the beautiful flowers and vintage touches came together so well. A lovely space for such an elegant affair. I live for vintage, so when I saw this venue and all the decor, I was in complete love.

Congrats to Chantall for winning an all expenses paid honeymoon. After all the planning of her romantic and elegant vintage wedding, together with her husband, she is ready to pack her bags, and journey to a place of relaxation and luxury. Sounds like a great time. Enjoy Chantall, you deserve it!

TLC’s Four Weddings Episode Recap: Season Premiere

Did you tune into last night’s season premiere episode of  “Four Weddings” on TLC?  What are your thoughts of the four brides and their weddings? What details stood out for you? If you missed it, we have a recap of the episode right here:

Who are the Brides?: TLC

  • Chancy, a bride who wants to bring her cheerleader fun and energy to her wedding day.  The night time ceremony is set outside the banquet hall.  The trees are decorated with twinkle lights, the alter is draped with white drapery with a beautiful chandelier hanging in the middle. There are beautiful water fountains with candles all around. A very romantic look. After their “I do’s”, the ceremony ends with fireworks lighting up the sky. Inside the banquet hall the room is decorated with twinkle lights, ivory and gold colors. The guest tables are missing centerpieces, however around the room there are beautiful and grand flower centerpieces.  Guests enjoy a huge array of food, as they watch the first dance up on the balcony. There is a pink and white candy bar which is enjoyed by all who love sweets. The dance floor is taken over by the couple’s version of the Harlem Shake. The Harlem Shake is live on the dance floor. Crazy costumes, high energy, and lots of dancing.
  • Chantall, a bride who is going Southern with vintage rustic details at her wedding. Her wedding takes place at a historic plantation in Louisiana. The ceremony is outside under trees with roses, candles, lanterns, and hanging chandeliers. The processional includes four dogs who are all dressed up. Following, Chantall walks in wearing a lovely lace fitted gown with an embellished sash on the waist.  After the ceremony ends, guests are welcomed into the  barn where the reception takes place. Inside the barn, there are candles, purple and white flowers, and many vintage details like a horse carriage, lace, birdcages, old books, and vintage style furniture. After a traditional Southern buffet, guests enjoyed some fun times taking photos in the photo booth.
  • Amanda is a bride who holds a destination wedding for her thirty five guests. The wedding takes place in a mansion with a doll house collection. Inside the mansion, a romantic space is where the ceremony takes place. It is decorated with vintage style furniture and ivory, pink, and white flowers.  Amanda holds a hand-made bouquet made up of silk flowers. Following the ceremony, guests go into a grand parlor to enjoy the reception. Tall ceilings, vintage furniture, and flowers filled this space. The cake is a three tiered cake with rhinestones and white flowers. There is also a traditional King’s cake for the groom. To give the New Orleans feel to the guests, they had props of New Orleans like masks, and got to wear and dance around with them. The guests, sparklers in hand, say goodbye to the couple, as they exit the wedding.
  • Marcala, a bride who is sharing her Peruvian traditions with her guests at her wedding. The ceremony takes place outside and decorated with spring flowers, hanging mason jars, and white chairs. The ceremony was special as they included their little daughter in their vows. When the ceremony concludes, guests get into the spirit of Mardi Grass by joining in a second line to head to the reception. At cocktail hour, there is Peruvian speciality drink served. The centerpieces were spring flowers of various colors. They were arranged as flower arrangements or flowers emerged in water inside various sizes of vases. The cake was a three tiered tipsy Topsy style with a cake topper which had not only the couple, but their daughter as well. The dance floor was full of high energy and fun.

A Hot Detail:  There was one detail from each wedding that stood out for me. What I thought was so super unique and fun at Chancy’s wedding was the grand entrance at the reception. Her fellow cheerleaders lined up, pom poms and all, and cheered the couple as they walked in. Just like it was a football game. I thought that was such a great way to make an entrance.  I also loved what followed, which was the dance Chancy performed with her cheerleaders. That was great! I thought it was high energy and a total blast!  What I absolutely loved at Chantall’s wedding was the overall theme of her wedding. I live for vintage, and when it is blended with a wedding, my heart is happy. I thought that all the details of lace, vintage style furniture, and her dress, came together really well. Vintage was pulled off well!  What I thought was unique at Amanda’s wedding was the personal tours of the doll house collections. I thought this was something totally unique, and I had never seen it at a wedding. I think it can be something memorable for guests.  At Marcala’s wedding reception, I really liked how her sister performed a traditional Peruvian dance. It was sweet because it was her sisters and I thought this was so much more meaningful. I also loved how the bride and groom got up and danced with them.

TLCWho won?: Congrats to Chantall for winning!  She and her husband won an all expenses paid honeymoon to Portugal.  I was not surprised about Chantall winning at all, she seemed to deserve it! As soon as I saw her wedding, I knew that she would win. I loved it! While I can not account for the food since I wasn’t actually there, all the other details – venue,  bride’s dress, and originality – were owned by Chantall’s wedding. I thought that every detail of her Southern vintage theme was absolutely perfect. All the details from ceremony to reception came together so seamlessly. Swoon!  Great job Chantall!  So how did the other three brides score? Marcala came in second, Amanda in third, and Chancy in fourth. Were you surprised by the results?  Love to hear from you, so please share!

TLC’s Four Weddings Winning Bride: March 29th

Happy Easter! We have the winning bride from Friday’s TLC’s “Four Weddings” show. Congrats to Travia!  Her Birthday Wedding Bash wedding scored her a total of 90 points out of 120 points. Here is the breakdown.

Venue: 15 points
Dress:  26 points
Experience: 19 points
Food: 30 points

The other three brides really liked Travia’s food the best. A perfect score!  Food is one of the most important elements of a wedding and Travia nailed it. She offered chicken, rice, and vegetable for the main course, a fabulous wedding cake, red velvet funnel cake, and fried red velvet oreos. How fantastic does that sound?  I can see why Travia earned a perfect score in the food! Wow! I wish I could tasted those delicious sounding treats.

Congrats to Travia for winning an all expenses paid honeymoon. After all the planning of her bling wedding, the couple is now ready to celebrate Travia’s birthday and pack their bags to the beautiful island of Fiji.

Here is a look back at Travia’s wedding:

TLC’s Four Weddings Episode Recap: March 29th

Did you tune into last night’s episode of “Four Weddings” on TLC?  What are your thoughts of the four brides and their weddings? What details stood out for you? If you missed it, we have a recap of the episode:

Who are the Brides?:

  • Rachele, a bride who wants to bring fun, energy, and music to her wedding. Her traditional wedding ceremony takes place in a beautiful inside space at the venue. Inside there is a white draped alter, candles, and a red aisle runner. The bridesmaids wore a bright red orange colored long dresses which complimented the decor. After the ceremony which was officiated by the groom’s sister, guests head upstairs to cocktail hour. The space was decorated elegantly with gold colored draping on the ceilings, stunning chandeliers, bright linens, and a simple centerpieces with white flowers.  The bride and groom’s grand entrance is to taiko drummers music. Right before the garter toss, the groom performs a dance for his bride. After dinner, guests are on the dance floor and enjoy some line dancing and fun.
  • Nicolle’s, a bride who has team spirit and wants to share that energy with all her guests at her wedding. The day begins at a synagogue where she has her traditional Jewish ceremony. However, before guests find their seats are the ceremony, cocktail hour takes place. Inside the ceremony space, it is decorated with simple decor. There is a white draped chuppah with colorful flowers at each pillar. The colorfulness is shown also with the bridesmaid’s dresses. Each bridesmaid chose their own color and style of dress to walk down the aisle in. After breaking of the glass, the couple is now married, and guests enter the reception room. The grand space is surrounded by blue up-lighting, long white draping, ice sculptures, and long vases with colorful flowers on the guest tables. Since the couple are huge University of Miami fans, the school mascot showed up and school spirit was shared with all.
  • Travia is a bride who is says ” I do”, as she turns 30.  The wedding takes place at a Country Club. The ceremony is set outside overlooking the golf course. The decor was very simple and featured a white archway, white columns with candles down the aisle, and white flowers. The bridesmaids dresses are black and long. The father of the bride wears white as he walks his daughter down the aisle.  After cocktail hour, guests enter the ballroom for the reception. The reception has a black and white color theme. The tables had two standing sparkle decorated candles. After dinner, guests can stop off at the station which served red velvet fried oreos and funnel cake. In addition to celebrating her first day of marriage, Travia changes into a black elegant dress to celebrate her 30th birthday. The bride and groom along with their guests dance the night away on the dance floor.
  • Alex, a  bride who goes retro at her wedding with some DIY details. Her wedding takes place at a lakeside library. Before guests enter the venue, there is a old style typewriter where they can type a note and drop it in a keepsake box. The ceremony is set outside overlooking the water, and is decorated with some unique details. The aisle is decorated with white lanterns stacked on two books, and instead of an alter, there are two tall stacks of books. The bride’s bouquet was made up of paper from books styled like flowers. After a heartfelt ceremony, the cocktail hour takes place inside the venue. The colors of white, purple and turquoise decorated the outside reception space. Each guest table had white lanterns, votive candles as the centerpieces. The father of the bride along with all the guests, really got there dance on.

A Hot Detail:  There was one detail from each wedding that stood out for me. What I thought was so super unique and fun at Rachele’s wedding was the surprise performance of playing with the taiko drummers. I thought that was something totally different and very entertaining for the guests. I think it is also a great way to create a memory for their wedding day. So fun! What I absolutely loved at Nicolle’s wedding was her school spirit shining all day. I loved her high energy she had at her wedding. She seemed to really have a great time, and very happy. That is really awesome because every bride should feel like this on their wedding day. Super fun!  I really loved Travia’s bridal bouquet. It was made up of brooches, bling, and  sparkle. All personally made by the bride. I thought it was gorgoues and very personal. So stunning!  I really liked the idea of Alex’s food choices. They served fifty’s style diner food: sliders, fries, hot dogs, mac and cheese, and steak. Even though I could not taste the food, I loved the concept!

5Who won?: Congrats to Travia for winning!  She and her husband won an all expenses paid honeymoon to Figi.  I was not surprised about Travia winning at all, she seemed to deserve it! While I can not account for the food since I wasn’t actually there, all the other details – venue,  bride’s dress, and originality – were owned by Travia’s wedding. I thought that every detail of her bling birthday wedding bash came together really well. It was not over the top, yet had enough sparkle.  Guests seem to enjoy it and have a good time. Great job Travia! So how did the other three brides score? Alex came in second, Rachele in third, and Nicolle in fourth. Were you surprised by the results?  Love to hear from you, so please share!

TLC’s Four Weddings Episode Recap: March 22nd

Did you watch last night’s episode of “Four Weddings” on TLC?  What are your thoughts of the four brides and their Florida weddings? What details stood out for you? If you missed it, we have a recap of the episode:

Who are the Brides?: TLC

  • Sarah, a bride who is a total country girl, and shares her love with the outdoors with her guests. The wedding takes place at her parent’s home, with the ceremony outside on the yard under a huge tree. There are hay stacks for seats, and hanging mason jars with baby’s breath decorated down the aisle   All around are guests in cowboy boots and hats. The processional begins with the groom and his men on a tracker, with the bride and her girls on a monster truck. The girls wearing lace dresses with cowboy boots, and the men in jeans and their cowboy boots. After sharing personal vows, the couple departs in a monster truck with kegs hanging off the back. During cocktail hour, the bride and groom along with their wedding party take photos with guns in hand. The reception space is also outdoors, featuring simple decor. Each table has a tree stump with mason jars full of flowers. After a country style buffet, guests choose a flower pot style cupcake or a white flower designed cupcake.  The guests then got their hoedown and danced the night away under the stars.
  • Carole, a bride who loves her sweets. The ceremony takes place on the courtyard surrounded by greenery and water. The decor is simple with purple rose petals down the aisle runner, and white small columns with purple ribbons. The couple shares a Jewish ceremony, as they stand under the chuppah with their family. After the groom breaks the glass, and they tie the knot, guests take a trolley to the reception space.  The centerpieces were handmade by the bride, and they were silver branch style decor with purple flowers. Guests walk around the brunch stations to choose their meals. The wedding cake was a three tier cake with the middle tier covered with rainbow sprinkles, and the top tier with a rubber ducky groom and bride.
  • Jenelle  is a bride who shares her love for Asian style at her wedding. The ceremony takes place at a local church. The decor was very simple with Asian style fans decorated along the aisle and some white flowers. The ceremony brought together the bride and groom with their two children as they take part in a Unity Sand ceremony. After tying knot, guests take a ride to a friend’s house where the celebration continued. Set  outside in the backyard, the cocktail hour and reception takes place. Under the white tent, the tables are set with some Asian inspired decor. Each guest table had a lantern with rocks around it and candles. Above the tables hung upside umbrellas. During cocktail hour a lady dressed in a Kimono was serving drinks. After an Asian style buffet  guests have a chance to send a wish lantern up to the sky.
  • Annie is a fashionista bride who starts her wedding at a local church. Inside the church, white tulle with hot pink ribbons are decorated down the aisle.  The bridesmaid dresses were all designed by the bride. The groom shares his vows through a rap poetic style. After sharing their first kiss as a couple, the couple is now married.  The reception space is a grand space with hanging chandeliers, pink up-lighting, and table centerpieces that are tall white candelabras with hot pink lush flowers and bling. Annie surprises her groom with a dress change into a silver sparkling dress, and then performs a song and dance.

A Hot Detail:  There was one detail from each wedding that stood out for me. What I thought was so amazing at Sarah’s wedding was the S’mores station. Well, it was not an actual station, however there was a fire pit, where you can make your own s’mores. How awesome is that? I am a huge s’mores fan, so I totally loved this idea. Perfect for a country outdoor wedding. I can taste them now. Yum!  What I absolutely loved at Carole’s wedding was the sweet station. There was a huge table full of an assortment of candy and sweets. Guest grabbed a bag, and filled their bags with their favorite treats. Fun and sweet! I loved the grand entrance of Jenelle and her husband.  As they walked in, fireworks went off and lit up the sky. I love fireworks and thought t was the perfect way to make an entrance at a wedding. I really loved that part. I thought that the party vibe was great at  Annie’s  wedding. Guests were handed some fun props like hats and oversized glasses, to dance around with. Then confetti dropped from the ceiling down. I love a fun scene at a wedding. It is a celebration after all.

TLCWho won?: Congrats to Carole for winning!  She and her husband won an all expenses paid honeymoon to Amsterdam.  I was kind of shocked about Carole winning.  I did like her wedding details and sweet sensation wedding theme, however I liked Sarah’s wedding the best. I thought she really did a such a great job in putting together a rustic, country look for her wedding, I really thought it was country without being to casual and plain. I would have loved to be at Sarah’s wedding!  However, I did like Carole’s Jewish ceremony, color scheme, and fun candy station. For sure, thought that her love for sweets was shown on her wedding day.  So how did the other three brides score? Sarah came in second, Annie in third, and Janelle in fourth. Were you surprised by the results?  Love to hear from you, so please share!
