About Tejani Bangle Bar..

TEJANI: A HERITAGE OF CRAFTSMANSHIP BY DESIGNER URVI TEJANI

“When I started back in 2004, high couture jewelry and accessories were out of reach of most brides, yet the more affordable pieces were unattractive and poor quality,” says Urvi. Since then, she has changed the rules of the game – helping thousands of new brides fulfill their dreams.

By combining her keen NYC fashion sense with the designs of local Mumbai Indian craftsman, Urvi offers a bridal jewelry collection with a carefully crafted mix of authentic ethnic heritage and bold modern flair. Every piece of Tejani wedding jewelry is an original. The name Tejani translates to “brightness” and “sparkle” in Hindi — a fitting description for this timeless jewelry. Urvi’s proud Indian heritage is inherently featured in every piece. Whether it’s earrings or bangles– her pieces are always suitable for both the Bride and Bridesmaids. Coupled with the collection is Tejani’s stellar level of service offering unique bangle sizing and complimentary expert bridal styling.

The Tejani passion lies in reflecting each and every bride’s individual vision without breaking the bank or compromising style or quality.  All Tejani bracelets are available in several sizes, guaranteed to fit like they were designed for you. Most of their earrings are extremely light in weight with very natural movement.  Add your personal touch to your Tejani jewelry piece by selecting the perfect finish — silver, gold, antique silver or antique gold.  Whether your style is classic, modern, vintage or glam you will find the perfect accessory to compliment your gown and radiate on your special day.

Tejani Bangle Bar continues to garner praise from brides and fashion industry experts  across the country. The collection has been featured in Brides magazine, The Knot and Bazaar, and in O Magazine Oprah Winfrey featured Tejani on her celebrated “O List”.

Inspiration behind the World Cup Wedding Styled Shoot by Sara Holland of At Your Door Events

Futbol/Soccer fans are loyal, committed and passionate for their team, their players and their country. A similar and uncanny set of character values can be found in a couple that is engaged to be married. They are loyal to each other, they are committed to the success of their marriage and they are passionate for one another.Every four years, there is a serge of energy felt globally that only the World Cup can bring. The attention of millions of hearts and souls are all focused on the success of their country’s team. The World Cup is so much more than just a competition – it’s about unity and chemistry. A wedding inspired by the World Cup is grounded in the same ideology – it’s romantic, hopeful and electric.

The styling for this shoot was inspired by the 2014 World Cup host country – Brazil. Overall, the look is influenced by global textures, colors and the spirit of the game.

Wedding Ceremony: The most sacred place on the field is where the results are made, the goalkeepers area box. So we created a wedding ceremony space that would be worthy of the commitment the couple is making to each other and surrounded them with the flags of the 32 countries competing in the 2014 World Cup. Vintage trophies triumphantly hold florals and religious candles remind us of the sanctity of their commitment.

Tablescape: The scarf is almost like a badge of honor for a futbol fan. These scarves were the foundation for our table design and tropical florals were layered over chippy vintage textures to give the design a very global and collected look.

Wedding Cake, Candy and Desserts: Traditional Brazilian Brigadero’s, brightly colored French Macrons and festive confetti on the wedding cake make for a cheerfully international celebration! The South American styling with rich hues and vintage textures are continued in these area to sweeten these iconic wedding day moments.

Shabby Chic Styled Shoot by The Events Boutique

I seriously love my job.  I sometimes have to pinch myself as sometimes it does not even seem real. I love that I get to view gorgeous wedding details everyday and never get sick of it. NEVER! What I love more than viewing pretty things, is when I meet beyond amazing talent creating such lovely design that I can not get enough of.  I recently had the honor of meeting Christina Cruz of The Events Boutique, and this girl surprises me with every ridiculouly talented designs she creates. She surprises me with every fabulous design move, and I love it! Get ready to be inspired with this super romantic shabby chic styled shoot that The Events Boutique created together with some amazing vendors. I have to warn you, this one will distract you from your morning routine, so make some time to view the stunning images. Actually, you may view these images more than once. Or a few times.

From Christina at The Events Boutique

My Shabby Chic look was inspired by Spring in the Garden. When I stood in the Lower Meadow, I was surrounded by roses, wild flowers, and lavender. I immediately thought of a French Countryside. That inspired me to do a Shabby Chic theme with the weathered and French style  furniture. I visited Toast Party Rentals and just fell in love with their entire inventory. Jackie the owner from Toast was AMAZING and brought my visions to life not only with her furniture but also with accessories from her collection. She really was spectacular to work with. I worked with TGIS Catering to highlight something unique they offered.  Offering their farm to table concept typical in France and European countries. They shop at farmers markets.  It was so wonderful to work with such amazing vendors by my side.

Top Three Favorite Gowns Re-Designed By Kelly Nishimoto

As you know, I am a huge fan of TLC’s SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW. I am really obsessed with all the lovely bridal details each and every week. What I am dying over right now, are the gowns that designer and co-star of the show, Kelly Nishimoto creates for each bride. I am so impressed with her amazing work, that I have picked my top three looks that Kelly has re-designed this season so far. If they look this good this early on in the season, then I can not imagine what Kelly has in store for us! This season Kelly has blown us away! We love you Kelly and all your mad skills!

Let’s take a look at the top three designs I love:

  • Terron:  This bride was determined to have gown that hugs her body and compliments her royal styled wedding.  Her mother’s dress did not exactly have the details that Terron was looking for. Kelly wanted to create a gown that only ticked off the boxes of her wish list, but also reflected Terron’s big personality. Let’s take a look at the before and after photos of the borrowed bridal gown. Let us know what you think!

After Kelly resigned it, and added her amazing touches to it, here is the final dress:

Can you say WOW? My mouth dropped when I saw this gown! All I was saying was “OMG” like a billion times. Kelly created such an amazing gown which made this bride glow. I am having a total swoon moment with the back of this dress! Can you say Royal Wedding?

  • Sarah :  This bride is totally Daddy’s little girl and is super close to her father. It would mean so much if she could wear her grandmother’s bridal gown.  However, it is a 1942 bridal gown that is very delicate and falling apart. Kelly gets to work to create a gown that Sarah can walk down the aisle in, without it falling apart! Let’s take a look at this 1942 dress and what it looks like after Kelly does her magic.

Kelly was able to re-create this gown and make it totally wearable. Best part? It turned out to be a lovely dress with the prettiest of details! I was really blown away from this final look. Look at all the details! It is SO PRETTY!

  • Bridget:  This 6 ft tall bride-to-be was looking for a gown that would be simple, yet elegant for her rustic styled wedding. The borrowed gown is one that her mother and grandmother both wore on their wedding day. She loves the sentimental details of the dress, but its not totally her style.  It is a bit too modest, and wants to show off a little skin on her wedding day. Kelly starts with cutting off the sleeves and goes from there. Let’s take a look at the transformation from before to after.

After some detailed work of this gown, Kelly has designed a gorgeous dress. This gown is super sweet and romantic. I love the sweetheart neckline and the lace over it. The back? Have you seen the back of the dress? It is simply stunning!
