Z Gallerie Inspired Photo Shoot

This particular photo shoot includes a number of things I adore: a love story, a darling couple, stylish home decor, and inspiration. It is the kind of shoot that has me drooling over all the fabulous details. I have to admit that I am in love with Z Gallerie. It is the reason why I am so head over heels with this fantastic shoot. I am kind of obsessed with Z Gallerie and all its amazing decor items. My personal home design inspiration comes from Z Gallerie. Actually, most of the decor that I adore the most in my home are items from Z Gallerie. Yep, in love with the modern, stylish, and chic details Z Gallerie offers. It is luxurious and oh so affordable. That is the best part! I can go on and on about Z Gallerie but I really want to get to this fabulous photo shoot. I am not the only one who has a passion for Z Gallerie. The lovely gals at Classic Touch Events are also obsessed with Z Gallerie and have put together a gorgeous and inspiring shoot. I think I can look at these photos all day. All day.

A little bit about the photo shoot from Classic Touch Events…

Well needless to say the ladies of Classic Touch Events are in love with Z Gallerie and all of their fantastic merchandise they have to offer to newlyweds for their new homes! We will be doing a series of stylized shoots using some of our favorite Z Gallerie items. To kick things off we are introducing our sweet couple that are in the beginning stages of their relationship.

Jordyn and Jonathan, falling in love…..

She met in him college, right before COMM 301, in-between classes at the campus coffee house. He opened the door for her as she rushed in to grab a cup of coffee prior to class. She glanced up and their eyes met. He was tall, handsome and something about him took her breath away. He smiled and said hello to her in the line for coffee and that is where it all began. She was immediately drawn to him in a way she had never felt. It was as if they were connected from lifetimes before and here in this coffee house they finally crossed paths.

They began dating and have become inseparable. Jonathan knew he was falling in love. After a few weeks of spending most of their time together he asked her on a special date. It was her birthday so he took her on a picnic to one of his favorite spots under an oak tree. Later he planned an intimate dessert at his home to celebrate her special day. Although their relationship is new, Jonathan knows there is something about Jordyn that makes him want to spend the rest of his life with her.

Some seriously gorgeous talent which left us speechless. Yep, it is that GOOD! It is the kind of talent that is awe-inspiring and full of beautiful details. St. Patrick’s Day Inspired Looks

This week at BHL, things get a little greener just in time for St Patrick’s Day. We are inspired by the Emerald green color, as it is the hot color trend for 2013. Emerald green is the color that is happy, fresh, radiant, and luxurious. When we think about the color Emerald green, we think of gems, beauty, and the glittering Emerald City in The Wizard of Oz. We are very excited for this hot color, and can not wait to share all that is to come with the gorgeous Emerald green color.

I am obsessed with accessories! I am always looking for something new and unique to spice up my outfit. I love over-sized watches, pearls, stylish purses, and statement necklaces. Not only are accessories a fabulous add to any everyday outfit, they are an absolute must when it comes to your wedding day! I am thrilled to share the amazing accessories of a talented and creative designer, Arianna Garibo. She is the owner of Always Ari, where she designs and creates unique and stylish accessories. Arianna’s passion for style, design, and fashion has inspired her to create fashionable accessories which are affordable. She tells us that, Style isn’t how much you spend, it’s what you do with that you have.

Arianna recently launched her bridal collection this month, and was excited to share her new accessories with us. Being in love with all things bridal, I was super excited to hear the news. There are some fabulous pieces which I instantly fell in love with. Believe me, if you love accessories as much as I do, then you will fall head over heels for these amazing bridal sets.

A Valentine’s Day Photo Shoot: Romantic Looks for the Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today you have an excuse to get all dolled up, put on that new outfit, and spend the day with the one you love. A couple weeks ago I had an idea to create a Valentine’s Day inspired photo shoot. So I got together with wardrobe stylist, Connie Kim from Styled by Connie. She was thrilled about the idea, and quickly we came up with a concept. Our goal was to inspire and show how to incorporate vintage and modern elements combined to create soft, romantic outfits for a Valentine’s Day date. The idea was to keep with a clean and sophisticated style and use a color palette consisting of muted tones with pops of bright colors.

Here are five fabulous looks for Valentine’s day:

“Sophisticated Dinner Date”

Here is a look which takes elements of old “Hollywood Glam” styling. Incorporating a high-waist laced skirt, with a peach top for an added pop of color. All paired with nude closed-toe pumps to tie in soft and sophisticated features. Accessories includes a dainty long gold and pearl chain necklace with a black handbag. Confidant and sophisticated, and ready to hit the town!

“Casual Retro Lunch”

This look combines both vintage and modern details. The dress has a retro chevron print in brown earth tones. Paired with a brass metal statement necklace, open toe wedges, a statement bangle and vintage clutch. Perfect for any “day to evening” Valentine’s Day date.

“Casual Boho Chic Date”

Here is a look inspired by the hot pink maxi skirt. Which by the way, is a 2013 color trend for Spring/Summer. Staying true to the “boho chic” look, the skirt is paired with a loose white blouse, black laced crop top, and Grecian inspired accessories. To complete the whole look, a pair of fun and bold colorful shoes are added. Stylish and chic, and perfect for a beach-side date.

“Monochromatic Vintage Dinner Date”

This look was brought together by all monochromatic tones of nude. To give it some edge, the pop of plum shoes and studded detail wrist tie is added. The headpiece and high-waisted dress gives the look a vintage feel. This sweet and adorable outfit can be worn for a lovely dinner date.

“Paris for the Night”

An absolute fave! Black and white stripes are coming back into trend for 2013. A Parisian inspired look was created. Staying true to classic French fashion, the dress is sheer and flow-y, combined with bright red heels and a pop of red lipstick. Keeping with a vintage inspired look, the white headpiece ties the ensemble all together. This amazing look is perfect for a date at your favorite cafe, and sharing a pastry with your love.

How to choose a dress for the Mother of the Bride

Your wedding day is a special day where you share your love with your closest friends and family. This is also a very special day for the mother of the bride, who wants to feel and look beautiful. What is the best way to find that perfect dress for her? Here are some tips:

Brainstorm session: Sit down with your mom and just talk about the wedding. The colors and design of the wedding, the style and colors of the bridesmaids dresses, and other bridal party attire. You want to make sure that she is fully aware of what the overall look you are going for. This is also the time where she can share with you her ideas about the dress. Once ideas are shared and there is a vision for the dress, the shopping can begin!
Shopping: Its nice if you can accompany your mom for her dress shopping day. This way you can see what the dresses look like, provide your thoughts, and also support her at the same. Make it a mother-daughter day!
Color: Find out what color your mom likes to wear. The mother of the bride does not have to match the bridesmaids with their colors. However you want to choose a color which will look good on her skin tone. You want to stay away from white, ivory, cream, or any color which would look to close to the bride’s dress. You do not want to be upstaged by your mother. She can still look lovely, and stunning without having to take away from your big day. It is important that your mother feels beautiful! Just make sure the color does not totally clash with the colors and overall theme of the wedding. So if you are going for a vintage romantic look for your wedding, probably want to stay away from bright colors. Maybe a soft pink or soft yellow color would work best.
Style: What style is going to work best? If the wedding is formal, a long dress is best. If it is a day time wedding and informal, the dress can be two piece top and skirt. Your mom needs to feel comfortable, and herself when she wears this dress. So if she normally does not wear strapless dresses, then maybe its best not to try this style on. However, sometimes you can add a little jacket or shawl, which can work too. Try on various styles and see which one your mom feels most beautiful in. It is your day, so you also need to feel comfortable with her style.
