Top Five Fall Trendy Wedding Favors

Want to make sure that your wedding guests remember your big day? Give them something to remember about it! If you’re getting hitched in the Fall and still don’t have favors, check out our favorite Fall wedding favors. Your guests will thank you- seriously!

What screams Fall more than some yummy-scented candles? Pick up woodsy scents like pine and make them all yours. It’s easy to find websites that do promotional items that will let you order candles that are laser-cut with whatever you want (a good fallback are your names and the wedding date). If you want to do this on the cheap, go out to the dollar store or drugstore and pick up a whole bunch of candles. Get stickers made with whatever you want and stick ‘em on to personalize them.

Reusable Tote Bags

Fall is a time for practicality- it needs to be to balance out Holiday spending. One of the most practical can’t-have-enough items right now are reusable tote bags. You’re able to use them more than once, they’re good for the environment, and they can even save you some money at the grocery store (some stores will actually take money off of your bill if you use a reusable bag). Reusable totes can start at less than a dollar each with personalization and are perfect for stuffing with candy for guests. Plus, they’re easy for your guests to take with them!

A sweet, personalized gift is to do picture frames pre-stuffed with pictures of the guests in them. If your wedding is small enough, this could be a fun one-day task. You can set them out as placeholders for the reception and have it serve a purpose!

Custom Candy

Wanna play to your sweet tooth guests? Buy candy in bulk and get stickers made up to cover the logo. You can write cute things like “thanks for sharing our sweet day” on them to make it cheeky. Everyone likes candy, and with Halloween being the next big holiday, candy totally works!

Reusable Water Bottles

It’s getting quite cheap to pick up reusable water bottles now a days- they’re not the commitment they used to be! At personalization websites, it’s easy to find water bottles at around $2 a piece to start, and they make such a great practical gift! Get a clear reusable water bottle, personalize it for your big day, and stuff it with tissue paper and candy for your guests. It’s a great looking gift, practical and awesome, and good for the environment! This awesome gift encourages drinking water, supports reusable materials, and is one of the most unique things you’ll see at a wedding.

This wedding really stole my heart. For so many reasons.

For one, Lauren & Anthony chose CIBO IN PHOENIX as their venue, which is where Kyle and I had one of our very first dates and our wedding rehearsal dinner. It’s the coolest restaurant and they serve the best pizza in Phoenix, hands down. Just writing about it makes me want to drive there right this second, sit outside on their patio, and kick back with a Peroni and a delicious pizza with some prosciutto sprinkled on it…. mmmmmm….

And another reason this wedding was so awesome was because these two also walked down the aisle to theSCORE FROM THE GODFATHER and their first dance song was, “THAT’S AMORE” by Dean Martin. So cool. The fun way they embraced their Italian culture and incorporated that into their wedding day was such a blast to be a part of.

The green, purple, and gold colors of this wedding were a unique color combination and one that fit so well with the Italian theme. The embroidered band on Lauren’s dress was the perfect simple and beautiful detail to add to her gorgeous, bohemian style gown. I also really enjoyed the uniqueness of the outfits that the groom and groomsmen wore. It seems like the women and bridesmaids in weddings always have the opportunity to be colorful and it was refreshing to see the groomsmen be able to do that here as well. Oh, and Lauren’s brother made their bouquets and all of the centerpieces himself. They had a creative and artistic look to them, which were also unlike any other floral arrangements I’ve seen.

Lauren and Anthony are truly a laid back couple if there ever was one. It was wonderful to photograph them because they were up for anything. When I mentioned walking a bit farther to do some photos by an abandoned house, without a second’s hesitation, they agreed. These two and their bridal party were game for all of the ideas I had in mind and that really makes for an overall amazing photography experience.

I feel like I could go on and on about this wedding, how Anthony’s best man and brother was hilarious and awesome, the badass Clockwork Orange tat on one of the groomsmen, how the entire family got down on the dance floor all night long, the yummy italian desserts they served, how sweet and adorable they were with each other the entire day… but I’d probably be writing for way too long and then you’d never get to the actual photos! So here they areI hope you enjoy!

St. Patrick’s Day Inspired Looks

This week at BHL, things get a little greener just in time for St Patrick’s Day. We are inspired by the Emerald green color, as it is the hot color trend for 2013.  Emerald green is the color that is happy, fresh, radiant, and luxurious.  When we think about the color Emerald green, we think of gems, beauty, and the glittering Emerald City in The Wizard of Oz. We are very excited for this hot color, and can not wait to share all that is to come with the gorgeous Emerald green color.

Fashion stylist, Connie Kim of Styled by Connie, shares how you can incorporate Emerald green into your  wardrobe. Check out these looks that she put together.  They are fun, sophisticated, and gorgeous!
