Black, White, and Pink Washington Wedding

Excuse me while I swoon over all the pretty details of this romantic wedding.  Oh my goodness! I can not handle the sweetness of this wedding. I love the wedding colors. Pink can sometimes be too girly, but in this case, the color pink is classy and romantic as it compliments the black and white stripes so perfectly. Today, pink=romance. Fully in love with all the details, from the gorgeous greenery surrounding the ceremony to the pink roses at the reception.  IJ Photo was on hand to capture all the sweet moments.  And you thought your Monday was going to be boring and dull.  Enjoy!!

April and Ben live in Portland but chose to have their wedding in Washington. Together with April’s two boys, Sam and Simon,  this lovely couple promised to love one other on a beautiful afternoon at the Inglewood Golf Club.  The wedding day was filled with beautiful emotions right from the start. Luckily April’s sister and maid of honor did a great job keeping tissues close at hand.  The couple have a charming manner with each other that is not only relaxed, but inspiring to watch. It was also obvious that Ben not only loves April, but her boys as well. During their ceremony he shared special vows just for Sam and Simon. At the reception Ben’s family carried out a  Nelson family tradition with the performance of a skit based on the story of how they met in Vegas. The skit included a choreographed dance and some hilarious cross dressing by Ben’s groomsmen.  The details of their wedding were expertly crafted and stylish. Using black and white stripes with pink roses, hydrangeas,  elegant candelabras , and even pink up-lights to flood the room with beautiful soft light.

Hotel at the Lafayette Wedding from Heather Bellini Photography

I know it is pretty hard to say goodbye to a long weekend and hello to the week. Mondays can be a total drag, but when you have a gorgeous wedding like this one, Monday just became my favorite day of the week.  I am in love with the teal and pink colors that this couple incorporated into their wedding day. It pairs nicely with the beautiful and rustic venue set in Buffalo, New York.  But, can we talk about the bride’s dress for a second? Oh my! This gown is so romantic and oh so lovely. Did you see the back of the gown? I can not get over how pretty this dress is. The soft lace details and stunning veil to pair it, is a dream. Simply beautiful. I can go on and on about this wedding (and the wedding gown!), but I think its best if you browse the stunning images for yourself and see what I am obsessing over.  I think your Monday is about to get really good. The rustic, yet modern decor of the Hotel at the Lafayette, with its exposed brick walls, soft lighting and city atmosphere was all that was necessary to inspire the happy couple, as well as their photographers! The garden patio was the perfect place for the wedding party to gather for portraits. The teal and bright pink color palette, was the perfect compliment to the warm May weather. Our enthusiasm for this fun couple and their fabulous wedding day has only grown and we are so thrilled to share their photos. Here is a glimpse of their special day in Buffalo, NY.
