Balboa Island, California Engagement Session from Jaime Davis Photography

Today’s engagement session makes me so happy and full of joy. I am totally giddy right now. Why? Two reasons. First, because it features a super sweet and adorable couple who is so obviously in love it is not even funny. I mean seriously? Can this couple be any cuter? Second, because the location of this e-session takes place at a location where I spent many of my childhood days enjoying the beach and all the fun activities. Oh, and then throw in a very talented and amazing photographer, Jaime Davis Photography into the equation, and you have yourself a pretty sweet engagement session. Fun, laughter, and smiles all around. Can it be any better?

Meet Whitney and Frank. They both enjoy the beach and love to spend most of their time there. So for their engagement session we made our way to the charming and lovely Balboa Island located in Southern Orange County. A perfect location for these two love birds. We got lucky, because the weather was just perfect for a Southern California October month. October can be tricky with the weather as it can be really cold and gloomy or warm and sunny. So we scored! Witney and Frank are such a fun loving couple and they laughed the whole time. We had a blast taking photographs at the Balboa Fun Zone, including riding the Ferris Wheel. We also had a chance to go to Balboa Pier and take a few beautiful shots there. This session was super fun and we had such a great time. This couple knows how to have fun while taking photographs. They are for sure going to be ready for their April 2014 wedding. Congrats to Whitney and Frank on their engagement!

Santa Barbara Engagement Session from Silver Gecko Photography

I am kind of obsessed with engagement sessions. Yep, I am totally in love with them. Today’s e-session is sweet, romantic, and beautiful. Oh, and the best part? It is set at the gorgeous Southern California destination of Santa Barbara. A place where historical buildings are tucked between the mountains and the sea. Beautiful scenery and the most amazing details combined with an adorable couple equals pure perfection. When you add the very talented and (my personal fav), Silver Gecko Photography, then it is all over. Over in a pretty haze of beautiful images. This e-session makes me want to pack my bags, and travel with my husband to enjoy it all. After viewing the stunning images, you may also choose to travel to this lovely destination!

This session was a lot of fun! I strive to create an experience for all my clients and I know I succeeded in doing so with Donay & Justin. Since Donay loves the architecture in Santa Barbara we started at the Santa Barbara Court House, which has some fantastic spots! I also like to include some personal interests and activities each couple enjoys. Justin mentioned to me they love playing pool together and the Santa Barbara Brewing Company was gracious enough to allow us to photograph in their lounge. For the most part I let Donay & Justin simply play a few games, have a drink, and relax while I photographed. (I even played a game of pool with Justin, he cleaned the table with me, but in my defense, he was already warmed up.) While at SB Brewing, Donay turned to me and said, “this is us”, which is exactly why we photographed there.

Wanting to photograph in one more location, Julia and I took Donay & Justin to a special beach we had found years ago. It seems to be more of a local beach, kind of secluded, and very beautiful. We even stopped on the train tracks nearby and shot some awesome photos with the setting sun and this amazing light cascading behind Donay & Justin.

This was definitely one of the longer sessions I’ve done, but when you’re in such a great area it’s nice to take the time to enjoy it, all while creating beautiful photos. I came home to find Donay had tagged me in a post on Facebook: “Shout out to Adam Parth for the greatest time shooting our engagement pics today!!! We had a blast and can’t wait to see the pics. Thank you and we look forward to the continuing process and the wedding!!”

Southern California Engagement Session from Brittany Carr Seely Photography

From the moment I saw this sweet couple’s oh-so-cute-and fun-engagement session, I could not wait to get my hands on their wedding. By the looks of this e-session, I just knew their big day would be a pretty amazing one. Oh, and I am even more excited because I have the honor of being the wedding planner of this amazing couple. Yep, Perfectly Made Weddings will be on hand to help plan, and create a beautiful wedding day. There are so many, many reasons why I adore this engagement session, but there is one that stands high above the rest: love. The kind of love that is so grand, that it is just spilling out from each and every image. Not just any love, but pure, fun, and quirky love. And Brittany Carr Seely Photography was there to follow this lovely couple every step of the way to capture every single amazing shot. This darling couple is the kind of couple you want to be around pretty much all the time. I can not wait for their wedding day! From the bride-to-be…

We chose to do a mountain scene and a beach scene because we feel like it was a good way to show what makes Los Angeles such a great place. We have the ability to see mountains and beach all in a matter of a day. We brought some of our personality into the pictures through the outfits. Justin loves to wear cat shirts and I just recently purchased my first cat shirt to go along with his obsession. I knew when I bought my shirt that we would have to wear them in our photos. We also love football. I am a from Minnesota and absolutely love the Vikings. He is a die-hard Notre Dame fan so we wore our respective team jerseys. Luckily one team is college and the other is NFL so we can root for each others teams. We really had a great time with our photographer.

Los Angeles Engagement Session from Silver Gecko Photography

I love Sundays. I especially love Sundays with football on the agenda. I am a huge fan of sports, but even a bigger fan of football. I was so excited when football season started. Well, it is preseason, but still…pretty excited. Oh, my love for weddings? It is always on top, of course. I love weddings. So you can only imagine my excitement when my two loves, sports and weddings, came together for a an amazing e-session. This sweet combo makes me want to jump up and down. Yes I am actually jumping right now. Not only jumping for my football team, but for this fabulous e-sesh, which is totally awesome. Add Silver Gecko Photography and a well seasoned camera to that mix, and it is over. Over in a pretty haze of beautiful images. Shaun and Jennifer are getting married on November 3, 2013. They are both huge sports fans, and thankfully for the most part they are fans of the same teams, so there is no in-house rivalry. Shaun has always been a huge hockey fan and Jennifer loves basketball and football. Mix in bowling, something they love doing together, and what they did for their first date, and add baseball for good measure, and you’ve got one heck of a sports themed engagement session.

Shaun was able to secure times for us to photograph at Matador Bowl in Northridge and Ice Station Valencia. We covered basketball, baseball, and football with a stop off at Northridge Park. Photographing the two of them bowling was trickier than first imagined. I don’t like separating couples, it’s an engagement session after all, but with bowling you don’t really want to stand near the person hurling a heavy ball around; so we got creative. I was even able to photograph their wedding date in bowling ball weights (the 3 pound doesn’t exist, but removing the 1 from 13 was easy enough). I’ve done this once before with billiard balls.

Z Gallerie Inspired Photo Shoot

This particular photo shoot includes a number of things I adore: a love story, a darling couple, stylish home decor, and inspiration. It is the kind of shoot that has me drooling over all the fabulous details. I have to admit that I am in love with Z Gallerie. It is the reason why I am so head over heels with this fantastic shoot. I am kind of obsessed with Z Gallerie and all its amazing decor items. My personal home design inspiration comes from Z Gallerie. Actually, most of the decor that I adore the most in my home are items from Z Gallerie. Yep, in love with the modern, stylish, and chic details Z Gallerie offers. It is luxurious and oh so affordable. That is the best part! I can go on and on about Z Gallerie but I really want to get to this fabulous photo shoot. I am not the only one who has a passion for Z Gallerie. The lovely gals at Classic Touch Events are also obsessed with Z Gallerie and have put together a gorgeous and inspiring shoot. I think I can look at these photos all day. All day.

A little bit about the photo shoot from Classic Touch Events…

Well needless to say the ladies of Classic Touch Events are in love with Z Gallerie and all of their fantastic merchandise they have to offer to newlyweds for their new homes! We will be doing a series of stylized shoots using some of our favorite Z Gallerie items. To kick things off we are introducing our sweet couple that are in the beginning stages of their relationship.

Jordyn and Jonathan, falling in love…..

She met in him college, right before COMM 301, in-between classes at the campus coffee house. He opened the door for her as she rushed in to grab a cup of coffee prior to class. She glanced up and their eyes met. He was tall, handsome and something about him took her breath away. He smiled and said hello to her in the line for coffee and that is where it all began. She was immediately drawn to him in a way she had never felt. It was as if they were connected from lifetimes before and here in this coffee house they finally crossed paths.

They began dating and have become inseparable. Jonathan knew he was falling in love. After a few weeks of spending most of their time together he asked her on a special date. It was her birthday so he took her on a picnic to one of his favorite spots under an oak tree. Later he planned an intimate dessert at his home to celebrate her special day. Although their relationship is new, Jonathan knows there is something about Jordyn that makes him want to spend the rest of his life with her.

Malibu, California Engagement Session from Defining Moments by Sheri Marie

The best way to end the weekend is by treating yourself to the most romantic, sweet, and adorable engagement session from Defining Moments by Sheri Marie. As you are settling at your desk with your morning coffee, just prepare yourselves for the simple elegance that surrounds this soiree. I absolutely adore a couple who gets a little creative with their engagement session. I have a “thing” for picnics, and when you throw in a couple of love birds, and an amazing photographer to capture it all, I am just in love. This sweet combo is the perfect engagement session. What can be better? I am head over heels with this couple’s style, the romantic California setting, and their cute picnic. Ready to take a look in at this couple’s lovely picnic?

Meet Vanessa Fontana & Ben Hanley. Vanessa is from Alaska and Ben is from Washington State. They met in High School when Vanessa moved to Washington State. This couple is very hip, elegant, and loves everything vintage. So they wanted their engagement session to represent every aspect of their personalities and what their wedding will be like. Vanessa and Ben wanted two different scenes. One for a vintage picnic and the other one for some fun sunset shots. Vanessa loves everything vintage, but yet she has this elegant side to her as well. So she wanted her picnic theme to reflect all the inspiration photos that she had been searching for on Pinterest. They also wanted a nice location that was close to the beach. We chose the Malibu State Park and El Matador Beach as the perfect locations.

From the moment Vanessa emailed me wanting me to do her engagement photos, we had an instant connection. She was very excited that I was available to do her photos and excited that we had the same style and vision for her session. So that made me even more excited to work with her and Ben because we were all on the same page. Spending the afternoon with these two was a ton of fun! You can definitely see the love these two share between the two of them, as it just radiates off. Their love is contagious! The whole shoot I was wishing my husband was there so I could just give him a big kiss, haha. Ben and Vanessa are very down to earth, chill and fun! We were all laughing and joking around all day, which made for a great time together!

They will be tying the knot on July 27, 2013 in Washington State.

West Georgia Engagement Session from Famous William Photography

Oh my goodness! I honestly don’t even know where to start with this one! I am having a hard time coming up with the right words to describe this truly amazing and romantic engagement session. I am in complete awe by the amount of love that is pouring out from each and every photo. I have seen some amazing sessions in my days…but nothing like this one. I thought I knew what true love looked like, until today. This couple is true love. You can see it through all the details. Simple, yet very meaningful details. I am starting to choke up just thinking about it. Two lovebirds, two dogs, and a tiny home surrounded by the woods utter joy and perfection. All they need is love, nothing less, nothing more. Meet Sebastienne and Maria. They were one of our more comfortable couples. A lot of couples aren’t sure or what to do during a shoot and we have to guide them. But with Sebastienne and Maria, they just stood in front of us and kissed a lot and played a lot. They’re really comfortable with each other and other people. I think that’s part of what makes them so beautiful. Their comfortability may also come from the fact that they put on backyard plays at a home in our town called “The Truth and Beauty Laboratory” and call it “Theatre on Cedar”. Either way, they were wonderful to photograph. Oh and did we mention they are building their tiny home? We photographed in a small spot for their soon home to be, surrounded by all the gorgeous woods. Here is what they told us.“We are two wives who are planning to build a Tiny House on wheels, as a way to live within our means, and to live lighter and freer, and with less negative impact on the environment. It will be on our land.”

Country Chic Engagement Session from Happy Photos

I don’t know what I am more obsessed with. The fact that this engagement session took place in my college town, or this adorable couple who is so obviously in love, it is not even funny. After spending half my morning deciding which images to share with you all, I was instantly hooked and fell in love with their country style, and complete and utter love they share with each other. Lauren and Mike love their hometown of Southern Orange County, so they wanted to go rustic and country to compliment their country chic wedding theme. The location for their engagement photos took place at the open fields and farms of University of California, Irvine. The 100 year old red barn was the perfect backdrop for this couple. They are a fun loving couple who love the outdoors. Lauren is a SoCal girl with a country heart! I really enjoyed the time spent with such a fabulous couple.

Santiago Oak Regional Park Engagement Session from Lucero Photography

They say that home is where the heart is. My heart is in Orange County, California. So that is why this engagement session fills my heart with so much joy and love. It is even more special, when the location of this session takes place at Santiago Oaks Regional Park, where one of the last orange groves are found. Growing up in Orange County, the memories of seeing orange grooves everywhere was exciting and sweet. When you would drive by an orange grove, your eyes would see not only a sea of oranges and lush greenery, but your nose would inhale the sweet fragrances. So, when you have a couple of nature loving sweethearts surrounded by orange trees, and a amazing photographer to capture it all, I am home.

Meet Christine and David. This couple is very down to earth. They are both very nice and easy going pre-med students. They love nature, and that’s why they went with this local spot. The location is at Santiago Oak Regional Park in Orange and it has one of the last orange groves in OC from what they tell me. They don’t normally let anyone shoot in this orange grove, but they’ve given me permission to a couple times. It was truly amazing!

Georgia Engagement Session from Famous William Photography

Come, and let’s go down South to Marietta, Georgia for a lovely engagement session. It’s filled with scoops of love and all the charm of the South. The most darling of photographs your eyes will want to see. Famous William Photography captures this couple’s love in the most sweet way.

Famous William Photography is made up of a couple of love birds, who not only share their love for each other, but they have a mutual love for photography as well. Famous William Photography told me, We do everything together, and we love it, because we love each other. Now how sweet is that? I instantly fell in love with not only this duo, but their amazing photo skills. I mean, they know how to do photograph in the South. You don’t believe me? Well, take a look at this sweet engagement session and you will see.

What Famous William Photography shares…

They had two parts to their engagement session, part one being in Downtown Marietta, Georgia, and the other part at the Georgia Aquarium. A cool fact about that is that the Georgia Aquarium is actually the largest aquarium in the United States They have more than 8.5 million gallons of water and 120,000 different animals. Most people ask how you could possibly have an engagement session in such a busy and filled place, but the people there were really respectful of, and even interested in the shoot. Some people even stopped and watched this beautiful couple. It was really peaceful.
