Sneak Peek of TLC’s “Something Borrowed, Something New” Season 2 Episode 2

Best way to end the week and start the weekend? We’ve got the sneak peek for tonight’s episode of TLC’s SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW. We loved the season premiere with some fabulous details and bridal fun! We can not wait to see what is in store for tonight’s episode!

If you are a SBSN (SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW) newbie, then let us tell you a little bit about this amazing show. This show follows a bride’s journey to find the perfect wedding dress for her big day. However there is a twist!  The bride will have to choose a new designer bridal gown, or a fashionably redesigned family heirloom. Who will help the bride find something new and something borrowed for her special day? Each episode is hosted by designer Kelly Nishimoto and stylist Sam Saboura, who will work with the bride to help choose between two dress options. Kelly will turn a special, previously worn gown into a gown which is for the time, venue, and personality of the bride. The bride will also have a chance to work with Sam in shopping at a bridal salon to find a brand new stylish dress. What happens next? The bride will have to make a very important decision and choose between a one-of-a kind dress and a newly fashionable piece. Will the bride choose her mother’s wedding gown, or find something new and unique to her? Which one will the bride choose?

Tonight’s first episode features a bride-to-be who knows exactly what she wants. She is determined to have gown that hugs her body and compliments her royal style wedding. Her mother’s wedding gown is not exactly what she is looking for, as is makes her feel like a “sausage”.  What dress will this outspoken bride choose? A bridal gown that Sam finds for her? Or will it be her mother’s dress which Kelly redesigns?

The second episode features Doctor Erika, a bride who has not tried on any wedding gowns as of yet. She also does not express her emotions when making decisions.  So her mom thinks that her daughter can wear her 1970’s gown and make her decision easy. However, a surprise of emotions come up for Erika, and she will have to choose between the new gown that Sam finds, and the gown that Kelly recreates for her.  Will she be able to choose?   You will have to watch tonight to find out. You won’t want to miss!.

Happy Friday lovelies! Before you head off to enjoy a beautiful weekend, we’ve got some pretty amazing news to share with you. As you know by now, we are kind of obsessed with TLC’s wedding TV shows.  Whether it is about four different brides and their weddings, or choosing the perfect wedding gown, we L-O-V-E these shows! Guess what show is back for another fabulous season? We will give you a hint: a very talented fashion designer and a amazing bridal stylist come together to find the perfect gown for a bride.   Our Fridays are going to be so amazing with the return of  TLC’s SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW. We are so excited that we are throwing ourselves a little “hurray” party over here. Confetti and all. Fridays are looking super gorgeous. Are you as excited as we are?

With the second season of the show, we are so thrilled to be part of it. Season two is kicking off with two back to back episodes! Tonight’s first episode features a New Jersey bride-to-be, Nikki, who is planning a huge Italian wedding with a winter wonderland theme. She is looking for a dress that is decorated with crystals and is skin-tight to flaunt her assets. However, Nikki’s mom is leaning towards her own 80’s style gown as the gown her daughter walks down the aisle in. What dress will Nikki choose? Will it be a dress that Sam finds for her, or one that Kelly redesigns?

The second episode features bride Sarah who is totally Daddy’s little girl and loves to wear her grandmother’s wedding gown. The problem? It is a 1942 bridal gown that is very delicate and falling apart.  Can Kelly save the day and the vintage gown? Or will Sam find a gown that Sarah will fall in love with?  You will have to watch tonight to find out. You won’t want to miss!

TLC’s “Secret Wedding” Hosted by Cat Deely

Before you run off to enjoy a lovely weekend, we wanted to share some exciting news! You know we are a huge fan of TLC’s wedding shows right? We love them! While some of our favorite shows have taken a break, we kind of miss all the wedding fun we love so much on BrideDay on TLC.  You can imagine our excitement when we received a wedding surprise in our inbox. Yep, TLC is teaming up with TV personality star, Cat Deely to surprise a special bride with the wedding she’s always dreamed of in the one-hour special episode “Secret Wedding”.  Our wedding loving hearts are full of joy and happiness. So what is this “Secret Wedding”?

Sara is a budget saving bride who thinks she is being featured on a TV show about pulling off her rustic chic wedding for just 10k.  However she is in store for the surprise of her life, as secret wedding plans are made to give her the wedding of her dreams. Who is behind the scenes with all the wedding plans? TV personality Cat Deeley is working with her fiancé, family, and friends to transform her DYI barn wedding into the rustic wedding of her dreams she really wants but can’t afford.

The team sneaks around to plan every detail of the ceremony and reception. From the dress and menu, to the flowers and cake, they want to create Sara’s wedding fantasy.

On the morning of the wedding, all is revealed as Sara meets Cat for the first time and discovers that things are not what they seemed. As one breathtaking surprise follows another, Sara is honored by her fairy tale come true.  She realizes the extraordinary lengths her fiancé and loved ones have gone to in order to bring her wedding dreams into a reality.

You will not want to miss this very special episode on a “Secret Wedding”!

Sneak Peek of TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” Season 6 Episode 2

Wrapping up the week with a new episode of TLC’s  SAY YES TO THE DRESS: ATLANTA.  What a fabulous way to end the week and kick off the weekend!   Is there anything better than a weekend of shopping plus bridal details? We are totally giddy this morning, and totally excited for tonight’s episode. Tonight’s episode features bride-to-be, Amanda who loves her tattoos and wants to find a dress that shows them off. But her mom does not agree and wants to find a dress that covers them up.  Southern bride-to-be, Lexie is searching for a dress that matches her fiancés family heirloom veil. Then there is Brittany who is indecisive and not sure if she will say yes at her final fitting. Each of these brides have a specific style dress in mind, but will they go home with what they thought they would love? Or will it be something totally different and new? Which dress will they say yes to?  Which dress will stand out the most to them and their entourage?  Tune in tonight to find out!

What an amazing week at BHL. We started the week with a fabulous giveaway, and now ending it with a brand new episode of the season six premiere of  TLC’s SAY YES TO THE DRESS: ATLANTA. Yep, with SAY YES TO THE DRESS finale last week, we get to continue all the bridal salon fun in the South! We so excited that we are doing our happy dance. We are literally jumping up and down right now. Friday is looking oh-so-fabulous today. Fabulous with some gorgeous gowns from a beautiful salon in Atlanta, Georgia.

We are thrilled to be part of the sixth season of the show. If you loved SYTTD (SAY YES TO THE DRESS),  then you will absolutely love this show as well. She has already found her ceremony dress, but is now looking to “sexy” up her second dress. Adrianna is looking for a dress with a more curve-hugging and cleavage-bearing gown. However, her mother does not agree.  Will Lori and her team be able to solve the cleavage conundrum before her big day? What dress will Adrianna enter her reception in?  You will have to tune in tonight to find out!

On this episode, he is with his sister at the salon to see her in her wedding gown for the first time. Donn’s wedding is dreamed up to be a musical theme as she and her fiance are both professional musicians. What will Questlove think of his sister’s bridal gown? Will he be “wowed” by it? TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta: A Special Episode on Lori’s Fight

Today’s post has a very special spot in my heart. This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and in honor of this very important month, I am pleased to share a very special episode of  TLC’s ” Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta”. Last October, there was an episode, SAY YES TO THE CURE: LORI’S FIGHT which documented Lori Allen’s journey from her diagnosis of breast cancer through her treatments and double mastectomy . Tonight’s special episode is a follow up with Lori Allen and her journey with her battle with breast cancer.It is an one-hour episode which features updates from Lori and her family, her current progress, and all the incredible response and love that has been received from the fans.

Last year’s special episode also featured fellow breast cancer survivor Delese Range, as she shopped with her husband for her vow renewal gown at Bridals by Lori. Now, cameras will follow Delese’s journey  as she prepares for her big day, even amidst the latest news that she’s relapsed and is currently battling cancer again. Through it all, Delese exemplifies her unwavering strength and courage at her heartfelt renewal wedding ceremony, with Lori in attendance.

I am very inspired by both of these incredible ladies. They both show strength and steadfastness, which has created a special bond and friendship between them. This episode also speaks to me because my friend recently won the battle to breast cancer. She was diagnosed almost a year ago, and now is living life even stronger now. She has been a true inspiration to me, and I have grown so much by learning from her and what she did to win this battle.  Through all the very difficult times, she remained firm, and fought back, and hard. I am so lucky to have such an amazing friend.

You will not want to miss this very special episode as it promises to be powerful with raw emotions, but will undoubtedly still feature moments of humor and southern sass.
